This is a Pilot flat maki-e ballpoint pen.
As the name suggests, it's a product of Kokko-kai, and like their fountain pens, it features proper lacquer maki-e.

Retail price: 20,000 yen.

Kokko-kai items other than fountain pens are quite rare.
As it's a high-end model among Pilot pens, it's recommended for those who want a quality ballpoint pen.

It's a discontinued item, but it was removed from the catalog quickly, so it might not be widely available (^_^;)

It was a gift.

I often receive writing instruments like this, but I'm not interested in pens with elaborate decorations, and fountain pens are my main focus, so I'd like to switch to ink or a different pen.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid of small scratches for everyday use (^_^;)
